Zac’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. He came to us with a severe eye infection, fighting for his sight alongside his brother who was battling pneumonia. Despite every effort, his brother sadly didn’t make it—but Zac pulled through, even though he lost the vision in one eye.
Just when we thought the worst was behind him, tragedy struck again. One day, Zac jumped a gate and got his leg trapped in the bars. The vets did everything they could, casting the leg and hoping for the best. But when the cast was removed, his foot faced the wrong direction. The pain was immense, and for most sheep, there are very few options. Many farmers or vets would have chosen euthanasia.
But Zac had a spark—a happy, kind, loving soul—and we couldn’t give up on him. We searched for alternatives and found a way to give him a chance. Today, Zac is a three-legged, one-eyed miracle who gets around brilliantly. Most people don’t even notice his disabilities because his personality shines so brightly.
